The Apprenticeship Support Australia team would like to congratulate all the nominees and winners of the Esperance Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, held last Saturday.

The annual awards recognise outstanding employers, apprentices, trainees and other individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment and dedication to business.

Apprenticeship Support Australia Manager, Lena Constantine, congratulates Esperance Chamber of Commerce for their efforts in promoting training in the region.

“The Business Excellence Awards are a great opportunity for the Chamber to showcase the truly great contributions regional business makes to WA.”

This year Apprenticeship Support Australia sponsored the Apprentice-Trainee of the Year award category, awarded to Apprentice Rhys Bald, employed by Farmers Centre (WA) and Trainee Shara-Lea Kiripatea, employed by BOI Leisure Centre.

Rhys Bald is currently completing a Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanics (Plant Mechanic), an apprenticeship in the Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing industry.
Shara-Lea is currently completing a Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation, a traineeship in the Sports and Recreation industry.

“Our local Industry Training Consultant, Cher Cole was there to present the award and celebrate the achievements of all involved. It was a night not to be missed!”

At Apprenticeship Support Australia, we believe that training through apprenticeships and traineeships is one of the best ways to prepare local people for work; enable regional businesses to build the skills they need to their standards; and put people onto successful career pathways.
“We have great clients who do training well. We certainly encourage them to nominate for the Business Excellence Awards, says Ms Constantine.”
