ASA client wins big at the 2018 Australian Training Awards

Central Coast-based Construction Company and ASA client, North Construction & Building, took home the 2018 Medium Employer of the Year Award at last week’s Australian Training Awards (ATA).

The ATA are the peak national awards for the vocational education and training sector, recognising individuals, businesses and registered training organisation for their contribution to skilling Australia.

The event was held at Sydney’s International Convention Centre and was attended by several industry leaders, including Minister for Small and Family Business, Skills and Vocational Education, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash.

Representatives for North Construction & Building said on Twitter that the company was “honoured” to receive the “prestigious” national award.

“We work hard to create relevant and rewarding opportunities for all our employees and to be recognised on such a grand level is very exciting,” they said.

“Thank you to everyone who makes our company such a great place.”

North Construction & Building were one of several nominations received by ASA clients at the awards evenings. Others included the Australian Apprentice (Trainee) of the Year, Australian School-Based Apprenticeship of the Year, and Australian Apprenticeships Employer Award.
