Over 2500 middle secondary school students were provided with industry specific career advice and information, supporting them to make more informed subject and VETiS selection choices.

On 31 July 2018, the JobSkills Expo was hosted by Lardner Park, Warrigal. The event is the largest of its kind in Eastern Victoria and attracted more than 2500 middle secondary school students from the Latrobe City, West Gippsland, South Gippsland and Bass Coast regions.

The JobSkills Expo is an annual event aimed at year 9 and 10 students, VCAL students and young people from training and community organisations. More than 100 exhibitors showcased career pathways, training and job opportunities through seminars and hands on activities in a variety of areas including bricklaying, carpentry, hospitality, health, horticulture, agriculture, beauty, retail, electrical, engineering, automotive and emergency services.

Free transport was provided to every student to and from the venue thanks to funding support from local government, training providers and local businesses throughout the Gippsland region.
The JobSkills Expo is co-organised by Baw Baw Latrobe LLEN and South Gippsland Bass Coast LLEN.
