Community support

Apprenticeship Support Australia is proud to give back to the communities we live and work in by supporting initiatives that create opportunity, support education and drive social impact.

How we support our communities

We believe strong communities are the foundation of a skilled, resilient workforce. Across Australia, we contribute to programs, partnerships and community initiatives that make a lasting difference. Our support takes many forms, from charity fundraising and volunteering to supporting education and inclusion projects. Our people are passionate about giving back and creating opportunities for others, both in the workplace and beyond it.

Charity and fundraising initiatives

Through our community and fundraising initiatives, we raise funds and awareness for causes that make a real difference across Australia. These initiatives reflect our shared commitment to inclusion, compassion and community connection.

  • In Western Australia, through our Charity of the Year program, we’ve raised more than $120,000 for organisations such as the Cancer Council WA and Zonta House Refuge Association. Most recently, we proudly partnered with Inclusion Solutions, donating $20,000 to support the Generating Respectful, Open Workplaces (GROW) WA program.
  • In New South Wales and Queensland, we contribute to community programs that support health, wellbeing and inclusion, such as Foodbank collections, Share the Dignity donation drives, One Foot Forward walking challenge for the Black Dog Institute and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea for the Cancer Council.

Education and youth development

We’re passionate about helping young Australians reach their goals. Through our education partnerships, we invest in initiatives that encourage lifelong learning and create new opportunities for success.

In Western Australia, Apprenticeship Support Australia has supported 75 young people facing financial hardship to complete their schooling through The Smith Family. Through the Clontarf Foundation, they’ve helped ten First Nations students stay engaged in education and complete their schooling. They also provide professional development for teachers working with disengaged youth through the Teachers Engagement Forum.

These programs demonstrate our commitment to empowering the next generation through access to education, guidance and support.

Policy influence in the skills sector

We play an active role in helping shape Australia’s skills and training landscape. Through ongoing consultation with government, education, and industry stakeholders, Apprenticeship Support Australia provides insight and feedback on programs that support employer engagement, workforce participation, and quality outcomes for apprentices and trainees.

Our involvement ensures the apprenticeship system continues to evolve in ways that strengthen skills development and employment opportunities across the country.

Environmental commitment

We recognise that supporting communities also means caring for the environment we all share. Apprenticeship Support Australia is committed to reducing our environmental impact through sustainable business practices and workplace initiatives. Across our offices, we promote recycling, energy efficiency and responsible resource use, continually looking for ways to operate more sustainably and set a positive example for the industries we serve.

Promoting inclusion and equity

We’re committed to building a workforce where everyone can succeed. Through our partnerships with organisations such as the Australian Apprenticeship Disability Network and Empowered Women in Trades, we help create more inclusive pathways for people of all backgrounds to build skills, confidence and rewarding careers.

Sponsorship and community recognition

We proudly sponsor and support initiatives that celebrate excellence and recognise individuals and organisations making a difference, including:

  • Victorian Training Awards
  • WA Training Awards
  • EWIT Gala Awards
  • Department of Communities Achiever Awards
  • Wanneroo Business Awards
  • Goldfields Business Awards

These programs highlight the success stories that inspire others to learn, grow and contribute to their communities.

Humanitarian support

When disaster strikes, we come together to help. Through our partnership with the Australian Red Cross, we contribute to humanitarian efforts and emergency relief initiatives across Australia providing support where it’s needed most.

Working together

We’re always looking for ways to strengthen our community connections. If you’d like to learn more about our initiatives or explore partnership opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
