Apprenticeship Support Australia is proud to be a Women in Trades Specialist Provider. We help female apprentices and trainees get the most out of their training and build strong careers. This service is available in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.
Make the most out of your apprenticeship
When your employer signs you to our specialist service program, you join hundreds women who are already receiving tailored support. Our team of advisors are trained to support you as you embark on this exciting new journey.
Join a fast-growing industry as construction and infrastructure take off in Australia and build your own skills to become one of the top professionals in your field. With our program, you’ll meet other women in trades, make new connections, and most importantly, feel supported every step of the way. We’re walking with you to help break down barriers for women in trades.
What we offer
Networking and community
Join our Women in Trades Facebook group to connect with more than 200 women in trades. You’ll also hear about events and workshops to grow your career, supported by TAFE, Sydney Build, and others.
Tailored support plan
You get an individual support plan to help manage challenges at work. From day one, you’ll have access to mentoring and check-ins, plus support with issues like mental health and harassment. We also provide financial guidance, employer support and communication.
Career counselling
Throughout your apprenticeship, our team will provide you with industry opportunities and advice, resume and interview tips, so you can feel confident in furthering your career.
Employer support
We help you and your employer talk openly about any challenges you’re facing and work together to create a safe and supportive place where you feel comfortable sharing your needs.
An apprentice story
Women Trading Up Program
Separate from our specialist services, we also provide women looking to enter the trades support with their career. We offer guidance on resume writing, job applications, interview preparation and industry advice. You don’t need to be signed to Apprenticeship Support Australia to sign up for this service.
