Brisbane teachers learn about free online tools to help students

Brisbane teaching professionals learned about new, free, online tools they can use to help students navigate a successful journey from school to work this morning at the Skillsroad “School-to-work transition forum”.

The workshop, held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor was the first in a free series for Queensland teachers with further events in Cairns on Monday September 14th and in Townsville on Friday September 18th.

Attendees will learn exactly what employers are looking for in new recruits, and ways to coach their students to meet expectations.

They will also gain access to free resources they can use in the classroom to help students select careers, assess their “work-readiness” skills, put together professional job applications, prepare for and handle interviews and pursue their life goals.
