Employed by Apprenticeship Support Australia client, Harlsan Industries, Jesse James was recognised as Apprentice of the Year. The judges were impressed with his proactive contributions to the business, his forward thinking and the level of responsibility he takes on in the workplace.
Amanda Jeakes, also employed by an Apprenticeship Support Australia client, Kids on Carrington Child Care, was awarded Trainee of the Year. Amanda was recognised for her ability to work well under pressure and never lose her passion or professionalism throughout any situation she might be faced with.
Apprenticeship Support Australia’s Kalgoorlie-based Industry Training Consultant, Djhoanna King, said that the annual awards were a great opportunity to recognise the success of local business and their dedication to training young people.
“Harlsan Industries and Kids on Carrington are just two examples of the Goldfields’ commitment to training and supporting young people,” King said.
“The awards have recognised Jesse and Amanda, two excellent employees who display an outstanding work ethic and commitment to their employers.”
