The National Chamber Movement will be delivering the Australian Government’s streamlined support-services model for apprenticeships as part of a newly-formed national company.
From July 1, 2015, Apprenticeship Support Australia will begin delivering Australia’s premium apprenticeship support service around the country.
“We are thrilled to be combining the 15 years apprenticeships services experience of the NSW Business Chamber, Victorian Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia and Business SA,” said Darren Cocks, Director Commercial Services NSW Business Chamber & Apprenticeship Support Australia’s newly-appointed Managing Director.
“This is great recognition for the important role played by the national Chamber movement as Apprenticeship Support Australia shareholders are the peak business organisations in their respective states and are experts in Workplace Relations, Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety and Industrial Relations.”
“Clients of Apprenticeship Support Australia will experience an unprecedented level of service, backed by access to Australia’s foremost business experts through the Chamber movement,” said Mr Cocks.
“We look forward to playing a vital role in promoting vocational pathways to Australia’s youth and increasing participation and completion rates for the Australian Apprenticeships program across the country.”
“Our innovative Skillsroad website will provide job seekers, apprentices, parents and employers with online resources to support them from career decision to completion of their apprenticeship,” concluded Mr Cocks.
The Australian Government has committed $600 million over three years to the new scheme, designed to give young Australians the best opportunity to find work through earning and learning pathways while concurrently matching businesses with suitably skilled employees.
