Teachers and businesses look to develop future workforce
Apprenticeship Support Australia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia hosted a successful event for teachers on Wednesday 18 November.
“Developing Our Future Workforce” was a teacher professional development day, focussing on bringing business and education together.
With 85 teachers attending the event from both metropolitan and regional areas the event was very successful.
Guests listened to presentations from industry experts discussing school based traineeships, recruitment and job interview techniques, labour market trends, workplace trends for Generation Y, and how to utilise Skillsroad.com.au in the classroom.
A highlight of the day was the Industry Expert Panel, a facilitated session by leading employers and industry experts in the retail, automotive, hospitality, government and construction industries.
