Applications now open for the Bert Evans Apprentice Scholarships

The Bert Evans Apprentice Scholarships is open in New South Wales for apprentices experiencing financial difficulties.

The Bert Evans Apprentice Scholarships are now open, offering a valuable opportunity for eligible NSW apprentices who are facing financial hardship. 

These scholarships are designed to support apprentices who show strong potential in vocational education and training, along with a positive attitude and commitment to both their workplace and formal learning. 

Scholarship at a glance 

  • Value: $5,000 per year, for up to 3 years 
  • Total available per recipient: Up to $15,000 

Who can apply? 

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • In their first year of an approved apprenticeship in NSW 
  • Employed by a NSW-based employer 
  • Experiencing financial hardship 
  • An Australian citizen or permanent resident 
  • This includes school-based apprentices

Scholarship recipients must remain in an approved apprenticeship and meet the eligibility requirements throughout the duration of the scholarship period. 

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online through SmartyGrants. Before submitting, the application must be endorsed by both the apprentice’s employer and their Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
