Celebrating excellence in trades: Apprenticeship Support Australia sponsors TasTAFE Awards

Apprenticeship Support Australia was proud to serve as the regional sponsor for the Female Trade Learner of the Year award at the TasTAFE Trade Excellence Awards, held across Tasmania’s three regions – Hobart, Launceston, and Burnie.

The TasTAFE Trade Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of apprentices and trainees across a wide range of trades, celebrating their skill, dedication and contribution to Tasmania’s workforce.

In Hobart, Apprenticeship Support Australia congratulates Ebony Prasad, recipient of the Female Trade Learner of the Year award for the southern region. The event brought together industry leaders and training providers. The evening also featured a special appearance by Felix Ellis MP, Minister for Skills and Training, highlighting the importance of vocational education in Tasmania’s economic future.

In Launceston, Apprenticeship Support Australia joined industry peers to celebrate the northern region’s award recipients. Congratulations to Salla McCausland, recognised for her excellence and commitment to her trade.

In Burnie, Apprenticeship Support Australia celebrated the achievements of apprentices in the North West, with Jodi Batchelor receiving the Female Trade Learner of the Year award. The event showcased the strength and potential of Tasmania’s regional training pathways and the bright future of its skilled workforce.
