What's Changing from 1 July 2024?
The upcoming changes aim to improve the apprenticeship experience for both apprentices and employers, ensuring they receive adequate support to successfully complete the apprenticeship.
Tailored Support for Apprentices and Employers
Beginning July 1, targeted support will be available for those in need, from the pre-sign-up stage until the conclusion of the apprenticeship. This includes strengthened mentoring services for:

Providers will collaborate with apprentices and employers before sign-up to set up the apprenticeship for success. This involves identifying an apprentice's needs early, including language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills assessments. Providers will also assess employers' readiness to take on an apprentice.

Starting July 1, 2024, some Providers will specialise in assisting to specific apprentice groups, such as:
Provider Changes
From 1 July 2024, some Providers (formerly known as Australian Apprenticeship Support Network Providers (AASNs)) will cease delivering services, while others will continue. The exciting development is that Apprenticeship Support Australia will establish a National Presence.
