Local Talent Wins Big

ASA’s noteworthy talent pool took home a total of twelve awards, with three landing in the Major Winners category; Jai Sampson, Rachel Gray and Stevie Aston.

Mr Sampson won Apprentice of the Year Award and will now go onto represent the Central Coast in the NSW Training Awards later this year. Mr Sampson is completing a Certificate III in Carpentry.

Mr Aston won the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year Award in his certificate III in Allied Health Assistance; and Ms Gray took home School Based Apprentice/ Trainee of the Year Award.

“We are so proud of all our winners and nominees” says Jeffrey Cooke, ASA’s Regional Manager for the Hunter & North Coast.

“While we are there to support our apprentices and trainees—every step of the way—the awards and nominations can only be attributed to them. They have put in the hard-yards and are the people endeavouring to innovate the industries they work in.

“The awards night is of utmost importance, we recognise and give due-credit to the industry leaders of tomorrow,” explains Mr Cooke.
