Apprenticeship Support Australia State Operations Manager (Tas) Naomi Walker said: “The program highlighted some of Tasmania’s most exciting and transformational projects from Marinus Link and Tasmania’s growing wind energy investments, through to the Hobart Airport upgrade, the Macquarie Point Precinct and Stadium project, TasWater upgrades and the Tasmania’s future vision in the Tasmania Report Vision 2028.

“I was especially interested in seeing where these projects will create opportunities for apprenticeships and traineeships, ensuring Tasmanians can play a hands-on role in building our state’s future.

“The day also shone a light on important conversations around women in construction, mental health and wellbeing in the industry, and securing opportunities for local businesses.

“Plenty of insights, big ideas, and inspiring discussions about how Tasmania is building for the future.”

The conference served as a platform for collaboration and forward planning, reinforcing Tasmania’s commitment to sustainable growth and inclusive workforce development.
