Strengthening Tasmanian connections: ASA joins Launceston Chamber

Building strong local partnerships is essential to supporting business growth, workforce development and regional opportunity, which is why Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA) has joined the Launceston Chamber of Commerce in Tasmania.

This partnership was on display at the recent Launceston Chamber of Commerce Member Connect Session, where business leaders came together to explore the future of Northern Tasmania and mark ASA linking with the Chamber community.

A shared vision for Launceston’s future

For ASA, becoming part of the Chamber builds on a shared ambition, creating stronger connections with the businesses shaping the region.

ASA State Operations Manager, Tasmania, Naomi Walker said: “At Apprenticeship Support Australia, we’re incredibly excited to become members of the Launceston Chamber and strengthen our connections with local employers across Northern Tasmania.

“Building strong partnerships within the community is at the heart of what we do, and we’re looking forward to supporting even more businesses, apprentices and trainees throughout the north.”

The Member Connect Session session highlighted both the momentum and ambition across the region.

There was strong focus on what’s next for Launceston, including major events, the potential future use of the Boag’s site, UTAS Stadium, conference attraction and strategies to drive economic growth across the region.

These conversations reinforced a shared commitment across business and community leaders to building a vibrant and sustainable local economy.

Supporting employers and workforce growth

Through its role as an Apprentice Connect Australia Providers, ASA works closely with both employers and apprentices, offering practical, end-to-end support throughout the apprenticeship and traineeship journey.

This includes facilitating training contracts, supporting access to incentives and providing ongoing mentoring, helping businesses to take on apprentices and support them successfully through to completion.

By connecting more closely with the Launceston Chamber and its members, ASA is better positioned to align these services with the needs of local industries, supporting workforce development where it matters most.
